How you start off with your puppy may be the most important decision you make. This group class will teach you how to handle: nipping, jumping, counter-surfing, potty training, shaping new behaviors, and more. In addition, this is a great way to start socializing your puppy around other people and dogs.
We begin by teaching you and your dog the basics such as sit/stay, down/stay, come, and heel. By the end of class you’ll know how to train your dog to close doors, find your lost keys, and to turn on light switches! We’ll give you the ability to develop a life-long relationship that goes beyond your expectations.
Build rock-solid obedience, and develop boundaries that your dog needs to be happy and well balanced. Train your dog to be reliable in any situation no matter what the distraction including: Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Come, Heel, Climb (Place), Leave It, and No.
Imagine your dog off-leash walking right beside you, coming when called even when squirrels are around, holding their sit- & down-stay until you tell them free. Communication this clear can’t be beat. Passing the final exam isn’t guaranteed, or easy, but it will be worth every minute that you invest into the training.
If your dog is a good citizen, they deserve to be recognized. We’ll prepare you and your dog to pass the Canine Good Citizen Exam, so they can receive the recognition they deserve.
The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Program is designed to recognize dogs who have good manners at home and in the community… All dogs who pass the 10 step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
This is a fun high speed class, that will challenge you and your dog mentally and physically. Work as a team with your dog to lead them through challenging obstacles: Pole jumps, broad jumps, a-frames, elevated dog walks, see-saws, tunnels, chutes, and more. Learn to work as a team with your dog, build their confidence, and have fun while you bond together.
Did you lose your keys or your remote again? What if your dog could help you find them? Harnessing the power of a dog’s nose can help calm an over excited dog by giving them a job. Mental exertion like this requires more energy from your dog than a 5-mile walk, and will give them a challenge unlike any other. Next Easter you can get your dog to join the Easter egg hunt!
This group class is designed to help owners with problem behaviors: Biting and Nipping, Aggression Issues, Barking, Jumping, Chewing, Digging, Controlling High Energy, and Destructive Behaviors. An evaluation will determine if prerequisite training is necessary.
