Guinness World Records: Worlds Tallest Dog EVER Recorded

Being the owner of a Doberman Pinscher, people tell me how big my dog is all the time.  I look at her and see her for what she really is, a 65 pound medium sized goofball of a human loving dog.  I do not own a BIG dog…with that being said, meet Giant George.

George is a Great Dane that weighs over 245 pounds and measures almost 43 inches tall from shoulder to paw (this is large even by Great Dane standards), George is a BIG dog.  He eats 110 pounds of food a month and has to bend over to drink out of the kitchen faucet!  This dog is so big, he sleeps on his own queen size bed alone.

George is a celebrity, from the Readers Digest to Oprah, George has taken the media by storm.   His impressive size has garnered media attention from multiple countries including a Japanese TV Show, a Madrid Newspaper and of course the US media.   He does not let his celebrity status go to waste.  Giant George donated over $500 to a Japanese animal shelter to help displaced animals caused by the recent natural disasters.   He also participates in fundraisers and visits school children.
